Bare Copper conductors are primarily used for grounding purposes as specified in the National Electrical Code. Hard-drawn conductors for overhead transmission and distribution lines, as grounding connections in circuits and grounding for machinery or equipment. Soft-drawn solid or stranded conductors, for use as grounding connections in circuits, and grounding for machinery or equipment.
